Admittedly, I have become a little obsessed with lanyard beads lately. I got especially intrigued by the work of Greg Gutierrez, the thinking head behind Maverick Workshop. Regular readers of my blog know that I already own the model Twist.

Featuring a bell-shaped design that was obviously inspired by a Space Shuttle nozzle, the model Thrust is a stylish lanyard bead. Like Greg’s other beads, this one is nicely machined and hand-finished from a solid brass bar. The 6.2 millimeter hole fits two strands of 550 paracord.
