The Taiwan-based company Tools to Liveby originally started out as a retailer of stationery items from brands all over the world. In recent years, they have come up with their own line of products inlcuding, among other things, bags, fountain pens, and paper clips.
The first patent for a bent wire paper clip was awarded in the United States to Samuel B. Fay in 1867. The Tools to Liveby paper clips are made from brass wire and are based on patents from the late 19th and early 20th century. There are classics like the Niagara (1897), the Ideal (1902), and the Owl (1908). The paper clips come packaged in beautiful retro-style boxes of ten items each.
