EY-Products – Timeless Pen 02 Rosewood

The Chinese designers Jerry Huang and Eva Zhou established the brand EY-Products in 2010. The Timeless series offers a range of stationery products, including pens, pen holders, trays, rulers, and other desk accessories, which have one characteristic in common: the materials used are brass and wood. You can choose from ebony, wenge, zebrawood and red rosewood.

The Timeless Pen 02 is a well balanced rollerball pen and weighs in at a solid 30 grams. It has a twist mechanism to extend and retract the writing tip. The pen is both highly practical and aesthetically pleasing. I opted for the rosewood model, but it was a tough decision since the other woods look like superior selections as well. The wooden part features a tiny brass cylinder that keeps the pen from rolling.

The pen comes with a Schneider Gelion 39 gel refill that delivers an intense black line and allows for a smooth writing style. Also included is a brown leather pouch.
