Traveler’s Company – Brass Ruler

One of the oldest units of length measurement used in antiquity was the cubit which was based on the forearm length from the tip of the middle finger to the bottom of the elbow. Fortunately, today we have more reliable and accurate methods of length measurement. However, a simple ruler is still the tool of choice for a variety of straight line measuring and drawing tasks.

With a cult following worldwide, Traveler’s Company, formerly known as Midori, is a Japanese stationery brand whose entire range of products is based on the concept of simplicity and durability. This is especially true for their brass ruler. It measures up to 16 centimeters and is calibrated in centimeters and millimeters. The brass ensures the product’s longevity and will eventually develop a rich patina.
